Andreas Morelli was a high-end label used by the 1920s Karl Hermann workshop in Markneukirchen, Germany, known for superior craftsmanship compared to standard factory models. This “Professional” violin features an exquisite one-piece back, fine grain spruce top and deep reddish-amber oil varnish, finely inlaid purfling, and rosewood fittings. It is modeled after 1727 Antonio Stradivari violin of Cremona, Italy. Morelli Master instruments were marketed as “modern Cremonas” possessing powerful but mellow tone.
