Rare Ernst Heinrich Roth violin (c. 1920) from Markneukirchen Golden Period. 1920s Roth violins are prized for their consistent craftsmanship and "unprecedented transparency" in labeling. This instrument is a copy of Carl of Wilton 1664 Amati violin as indicated on the original label. Branded with E.H.Roth signature stamp to the inside back. Meticulously crafted, featuring a one-piece flamed maple back, varnish is red-brown over golden ground. Tone is robust and dark, ideal for advanced conservatory students.
